Weekend Family Adventure: Nostalgia, Rain, and Flavors That Feel Like Home in Greensboro, NC
Charlotte family blogger | Greensboro NC travel guide | Mom influencer/content creator NC
There’s something special about taking your kids to a place that shaped your own childhood. This past weekend’s Glover 52 family adventure was full of core memories: a nostalgic return to Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe, cozy comfort food from Pho Hien Vuong, and a sweet ending at Drizzle, one of Greensboro’s best dessert spots.
Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe – Greensboro’s Best Waterpark for Families
Emerald Pointe was my summer spot growing up. From the wave pool to the water slides, every corner held a memory. This weekend, I got to watch my own kids experience that joy, full-circle magic.
Even though a summer storm shut the park down early (hello, North Carolina weather), we rolled with it and found new places to explore.
Pho Hien Vuong – Family-Owned Vietnamese Restaurant in Greensboro, NC
We headed to Pho Hien Vuong, a family-friendly Vietnamese restaurant that’s one of our go-to spots. Their food is consistently flavorful and comforting — a true hidden gem for anyone looking for the best pho in Greensboro.
Our favorites:
Crispy spring rolls with fish sauce
Basil chicken wings
Chicken Lemongrass stir-fry
Chicken pho
Not to mention, the customer service is always five-star. Family-owned, warm, and welcoming every time.
Drizzle Greensboro – Best Dessert & Coffee Spot
To wrap up our rainy day, we stopped at Drizzle, a local dessert café that’s pure indulgence. From the famous Dubai chocolate strawberries to cake, brownies, and their signature cracked biscoff latte served in a chocolate-lined cup — it’s a must-visit if you’re exploring Greensboro with kids or craving something sweet.
By the time we pulled out of the parking lot, the kids were asleep. That’s when I knew — we didn’t just salvage the day, we made a memory that will stay with us for years.
